This is a sub-study of the observational international multicenter COVID-19 Critical Care Consortium (CCCC) observational study.

As such, it will both prospectively and retrospectively recruit patients with COVD-19 requiring ICU admission at participating sites.

To report and characterise the incidence, risk factor, predictors, and outcome of neurological complications in patients with COVID-19 who require admission to the intensive care unit, mechanical ventilation and/or ECMO.

Specific research area includes neuroimaging, brain autopsy, biomarkers, and cognitive outcomes.

  2. You will need to submit the COVID Critical Protocol to your IRB for approval. The protocol is available here.

  3. Email your IRB approval/amendment document to ECMOCARD@health.qld.gov.au and Chloe will arrange REDCap access to the sub-study fields.

CURRENT SUB-STUDIES

Data collected from the COVID-Critical study will also be used to in a series of studies focusing on a wide range of areas.
