COVID-19 Critical Care Consortium Sub-Studies
Acute Kidney Injury
The COVID-Critical study is an excellent opportunity to determine the incidence and severity of COVID-induced AKI, the impact of renal dysfunction severity, critical care management (e.g. mechanical ventilation, fluids, nephrotoxic drugs), the extent of recovery of renal function, and outcomes from COVID-19 critical illness.
Cardiac
Data will be collected retrospectively on cardiac comorbidities, cardiac complications during the hospital admission for COVID-19.
Coagulation Disorders
This subgroup will focus on physiologic changes in COVID patients related to hemostasis and how these factors are associated with bleeding and thrombotic complications in COVID 19 patients.
Neurological
Specific research area includes neuroimaging, brain autopsy, biomarkers, and cognitive outcomes.
